Growth to Freedom™ - Transform Your Life, Business, and Relationships with Clarity, Confidence, and Direction

The Growth to Freedom™ Show helps you transform your life in business and in relationships. It’s a fresh mix of strategy, resources, and entertainment that guides you to create the personal and business breakthroughs you need. Your success and freedom will only grow to the extent you do, and The Growth to Freedom™ Show will help you find clarity, confidence, and direction. Two weeks after my son was born in 2007, I found myself in a hospital for four days with a serious heart problem. The fact is, I had let my health go to the extent that my body gave out. It was a major wakeup call. That experience opened a new door of awareness for me. I came to realize that if I wanted something different, I needed to do something different. If I wanted something better, I needed to do it better. We’re living at one of the most exciting times in history and I believe you can have freedom on your terms. You can have it all, if you’re willing to take the necessary steps. It’s not easy. I’ve certainly made my share of mistakes and I want to help you avoid those on your own journey. This show was born as part of my process and was inspired by Joe Polish, Genius Network, and many mentors I’m fortunate to call friends. It doesn’t matter what your background is or where you’ve been: It only matters that you want to grow. Whatever your definition of success, I will challenge, guide, and connect you to some of the best leaders and experts in the world today. Now is your time - you deserve it! The catalyst for greatness is inside of you, and it starts now with Growth to Freedom!

If the amount of social capital you possess could be quantified would you be considered wealthy?

Today’s guest is a guy who has seen the power of social capital demonstrated throughout his career as a CPA. From almost the outset of his career as a CPA he’s learned that it’s not always the people you know who matter the most, but the level of relationships beyond that where the power often resides.

Tony Rose is a senior partner at Rose, Snyder, and Jacob CPA and is the author of two outstanding books that help people like you identify what they really want in life and strategize to make it happen. On today’s episode of Growth to Freedom Tony reveals the major problems people have in building wealth, why many rich people are not happy, and how you can use social capital to expand your reach and open doors of opportunity.

Do you know what the biggest mistake is that people make when it comes to building wealth?

The importance of entrepreneurs can’t be overstated.

Alex Charfen, today’s guest, firmly believes that Entrepreneurs are critical for growth, momentum, and the economy. An exit strategy is something you need to be thinking about from the first days of building your business.

It sounds strange to say but if you’re not beginning with the end in mind, you won’t build your business to be sellable when and if the time comes. Today’s guest, Randy Long, is a Certified Financial Planner, Exit Strategist, and has recently written a book about what it takes to successfully sell a business, “The Braveheart Exit.”

Randy and I talk about the biggest mistakes business owners and entrepreneurs make when selling their business, why you need to build your business TO sell even if you don’t think you’ll be exiting it soon, and much more...

Build your business with an exit strategy from the beginning, even if you never think you’ll sell it.

Why? It’s pretty simple. First off, you don’t know that you won’t need to sell your business someday. It’s better to be prepared than unprepared.

But second, and maybe more importantly, you want to structure your business in ways that give you maximum freedom. That means you’ll create systems and add team members that enable you to get OUT of the processes of your business. That way you’re experiencing the lifestyle freedom you want AND your business is ready to be sold and handed over to someone else should that time come.

This episode is about the long view - and it’s a view that adds greater value to your life, the life of your team members, and the world.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll learn in this show:

  • Welcome and introduction to “The Braveheart Exit” with Randy Long; [0:31]
  • Imagine you’ve created a great business and sell it for a big profit; [0:47]
  • Who is Randy Long? ; [1:50]
  • The biggest mistakes people have when selling a business; [3:19]
  • The one asset most bootstrapped businesses misunderstand; [6:08]
  • What is EBITA? [7:35]
  • How Randy and Dan first met through Genius Network; [9:00]
  • Why you build a business TO sell even if you don’t want to sell it; [10:05]
  • The power and importance of building a customer/client list; [10:35]
  • What is an earn-out? [14:30]
  • One of the biggest success traps entrepreneurs and business owners make; [16:25]
  • How to get help as your company grows; [18:47]

Do you have trouble making connections? Do you feel awkward or uncertain of yourself when you are in a crowded room or event?

Today’s episode is all about helping you get a break through in that area. Today’s guest is Judy Robinett, an expert at making connections that not only build relationships but that also increase the level of value and influence you experience in life or business.

Judy’s new book, “How To Become A Power Connector” is selling like hotcakes because she gives such simple tips for building meaningful connections. If you’ll take the time to listen to this episode you’ll walk away with some practical mindset shifts and tactics that will make you more of a power connector yourself.

Would you like to add value to the super influential people in your niche or industry?

Judy Robinett says that’s the best way you can gain their ear and get on their radar so that you can begin building valuable relationships with those people. The good news is that anyone can add value to influencers because even they have needs.

The key is to learn about them, ask them questions, and find out what they need - and more importantly, how you can meet that need. It’s a surefire way to get noticed by influencers and become an asset they won’t soon forget.

These are just some of the things Judy shares on this episode of Growth to Freedom. You’ll learn how to spot and avoid “bad actors,” why you SHOULD talk to strangers, what it means to be memorable, and more. Judy delivers great value, as you would expect.
