Two weeks after my son was born in 2007, I found myself in a hospital for four days with a serious heart problem. The fact is, I had let my health go to the extent that my body gave out. It was a major wakeup call. That experience opened a new door of awareness for me. I came to realize that if I wanted something different, I needed to do something different. If I wanted something better, I needed to do it better. We’re living at one of the most exciting times in history and I believe you can have freedom on your terms. You can have it all, if you’re willing to take the necessary steps. It’s not easy. I’ve certainly made my share of mistakes and I want to help you avoid those on your own journey. This show was born as part of my process and was inspired by Joe Polish, Genius Network, and many mentors I’m also fortunate to call friends. Would you like to know what I’d build into my business model if I had to start all over?

That’s what a listener asked me in an email this past week.

It’s not very complicated. In fact, it’s really very simple. But you’ve got to take action and get it done if you want to be ready for the kind of growth you desire. On this episode I tell you the 3 things I’d build into my business model if I were starting all over. I also help you brainstorm the possibilities in each of those areas so you can get a clear picture of what I’m talking about.

There are 3 steps you need to take to put your business in a place where it can experience its greatest growth.

The first has to do with understanding yourself and your business. You’ve got to attain an absolute level of clarity about who you are and what you are providing. I call this “finding your magic.” It’s that special thing you do that clients or customers can’t get anyplace else.

The second step is a mindset shift. You’ve got to come to an acceptance of the fact that the marketing landscape has changed. Gone are the days of one well placed ad exploding your business. Instead, you’ve got to take a new approach to marketing, which I unpack for you on this episode.

Finally, you need to adjust your thinking about only focusing on profit and personal success and start thinking about the transformational experiences you can provide your customers or clients. When you learn what it is you do and how you do it in a unique and life changing way, you’ve got something people will beat down your door to get.

Would you like to transform your biggest frustrations into your best opportunities?

This past week I attended my quarterly session at Strategic Coach. Strategic Coach is an organization that helps me and many other entrepreneurs and business leaders sharpen our focus and stay on track to accomplish our goals. It’s a simple tool that uses a few carefully worded questions to dig into the areas where you need to make changes.

What if I told you that there are 3 main areas that you could improve that would make your life a masterpiece?

You might say that I’m crazy, but you would be wrong. Craig Ballantyne has discovered 3 specific areas that every person can address that will make them better in every area. It’s true.
