I used to think that sales was difficult. At times I thought to be successful at sales, I’d have to be pushy or overbearing. However, once I began studying the true nature of sales and understanding that it’s about helping people and adding value to their lives, sales has become something I love to do.
You can improve your ability to influence, persuade and sell - and today I’m going to show you how.
Truth be told, I didn’t invent any of this. This episode features insights from the study and trial and error over the last 22 years. In this episode I reveal a relatively simple multi-step process you can put in place to consistently generate more sales.
You’ve got to understand the sales process before you can be good at it.
Every sales presentation is made up of a number of “sections or steps.”
What are those sections?
The introduction, The Why, The Walk Through, The Price, The Guarantee, Testimonials, and The Ask.
Each step leads the candidate from interest to commitment.
It all starts with great preparation. That means you’ve got to do your homework before you go to the sales appointment. What are the prospect’s needs and desires? What are the risks they’d be taking by using your solution? How can you answer each of those risks effectively and meet their needs and desires?
Doing your homework up front and anticipating their needs will give you a competitive advantage. It gives you the tools to ask the right questions to help get them to like, trust, and respect you - to shift from a sales pest to welcome guest; to position you as a trusted, knowledgeable advisor.

Are you playing full out or are you hiding out?

What would it be worth to you if you could conquer the voices of doubt… or the voice that may tell you you’re not good enough?
My guest on today’s episode is Dr. Cristy Lopez and she’s going to share the P.E.A.C.E. process to mindfulness and living in the present - and what that means for you is more growth, significance, and impact.
Too often we spend the bulk of our energy focusing on things that are external to us, things that are outside our control. Things like other people, situations, worries and fears. When we do that we’re using our most precious commodities, time and energy, to lead ourselves down a path that is not only unhelpful, but also destructive.
Today Dr. Cristy Lopez shows us what we can do to get our mind off the things that we can’t control by learning to live mindfully in the present moment, even if that moment is something we’d define as “bad.”
It is what it is. That’s not such a bad way of looking at life.
She does that by sharing her “P.E.A.C.E.” approach to mindfulness. Those letters stand for - Physiology, emotions, actions, cognition, and extrasensory - and she walks us through each of those areas, explaining what it means and it’s vital that you learn how to put them into practice to help set you free from negative or limiting thought patterns and also to set you up for greater things in the future.

What would happen if you were able to emotionally detach from the outcomes of any situation? What’s the difference between detachment and disconnection?

Here’s the truth… If you’re too focused on the outcomes you’ll find yourself jump-frogging from one thing to another in a vain effort to gain false self acceptance and recognition.
